Elsa's Ice Dress from Frozen

Hi guys!
So I made this costume this past summer for my 2014 Halloween costume. This was definitely a very challenging and interesting project to do.

I started with some beautiful blue fabric with glitter stripes through it, and then added small cuts of blue fabrics. I ended up decoupaging the small squares on one by one to get the effect of the bodice. If you didn't know what decoupaging was, it is basically gluing fabric onto fabric or other surfaces using special glue called Mod Podge.

This took a month just gluing these squares down and going over it with more glue to add glitter and other effects. The cape I bought off Etsy and sewed into the bodice back. I made the mesh top and sewed it to the bodice and cape. Then I sewed on a gigantic invisible zipper for easy on and off.

Then I made the skirt with the same fabric which was high-waisted with a slit on the right thigh.  The skirt wasn't sewn to the bodice because it was giving me so many complications.

I bought a wig and snowflake clips on Amazon. I pulled the whole thing off with some high heels and my little Kristoff by my side.

I found Anna! Some random girl in my school on Halloween...lol
